I LOVE CITY ROCK!!!! The best staff of any establishment ever!!! Seriously, I love each and every one of you guys! They are all lovely humans!!! I feel like I gained a huge friend group in staff alone when I joined this gym. Then there are all the cool people I’ve met while climbing. Plus, the route setters are great!!! Each one brings their own personality and unique ideas to their routes. This is a great facility, and a great location for my needs. The membership is truly an excellent value- all the climbing you could want, yoga classes, PT, Massage, all sorts of perks! Plus the on premises restaurant, while a bit pricey, is fantastic.

High walls for all skill levels. My kids had a blast. You can get a day pass or a membership. Memberships has lots of perks. Restaurant is convenient and service was great.
Pros: my kids loved it and couldn't get enough. We went for a birthday party and all the kids had lemonade, climbed from 12:30-3pm and went to the Airie. They had other stuff too so if your not really a climber they have classes and a little kids climb zone.
The staff was super friendly and treated everyone equally.
No cons about the place we found, but the parking in the area expect to spend a pretty penny. They have parking garages that run $18 or do like I did and run out to the meters a couple times.
My family loves this place, it has a GREAT kids room and my 3&6 year old we're able to use the auto belay. They also offer military discounts
Reagan was fantastic! All the staff there are amazing!! Great atmosphere. Great community. Very friendly and helpful. I manage a climbing gym in stl and you are doing a great job! Fresh routes and problems! It was a super sick use of the space!! Will be back!
Called ahead for info, because I've learned that you can't always believe what you read. Young man was impressive. He was not in a hurry to get off phone, even though background noise was loud, he was just pleasant. Two friends accompanied my son for his bday. He choose this place and wants to go back. Only wish the parking situation was different. No parking lot. Had to pay for parking few blocks away.
We stopped in City Rock today for the first time with some family from out of town. This is something I had never done before, but we thought the kids would like it. The staff was fantastic and extremely helpful. I will definitely go back. It's great to see so many employees that seem to really enjoy their jobs and are extremely friendly.
I took my 9 year old granddaughter, thinking we'd stay about an hour. By 2:00 I said we really needed to eat lunch! Very nice the price is good all day so we went back and stayed til 5. She wanted to go back the next day! (but we didn't) The staff is great---very patient and knowledgeable. There are many climbing walls to suit the age and/or expertise of the climber. You must wear sneakers or for $5 you can rent theirs--but your own would be better. (or at least take them to see if they are ok) If your hands get sore, ask for their resin (or chalk?) powder. There were a few younger kids but most were older and young adults. All were having a blast.
